MY GREEN PRESCRIPTION LIMITED
Hello and welcome to My Green Prescription! We look forward to welcoming you at our woodland venue.
Your safety and wellbeing at our events is paramount.
We base our outdoor Covid events policy and guidance on the latest UK government guidance which can be found here:
We have also reviewed the updated policies implemented by a number of other respected outdoor organisations and believe that our procedures are in line with the most up to date government guidance.
UPDATE – 8th March 2021
We operate a Covid Secure business. Our events run in an outdoor woodland environment. All events operate within government guidelines.
Our events are different to “social” gatherings as we operate in a Covid Secure environment.
From 29th March 2021 – step 1
All formally organised outdoor activities can return.
Attendees will be placed into groups of 6 and remain in those groups for the duration of the day / event. For example, an event of 18 will be split into 3 groups of 6 or less.
Outdoor toilet facilities can be accessed by attendees but you will be asked to sanitise them before and after every use.
Cooking and serving of cooked food and drinks will be carried out by MGP staff to avoid cross-contamination.
In parent & child groups, numbers of up to 15 attendees are permitted (children under 5 are not counted in this number).
From 12th April 2021 - step 2
The same guidance as set out under step 1 applies.
From 17th May 2021 - step 3
As per the above step 1 guidance but larger numbers are permitted.
From 21st June 2021 - step 4
We hope that all restrictions on social contact and gathering numbers will be removed. (hurray!)
We also consider that as our activities provide support for mental health and wellbeing we fall under the ‘support group’ exception which permit up to 15 people meet for mutual support, as well as providing outdoor education and exercise.
If you are not sure about whether to book with us or have any queries about our events, please contact us or consider reserving a place so that we have a note of your interest by emailing us at:
We appreciate that the UK government changes and uncertainty at the moment means we may all need a degree of flexibility in terms of our events and your bookings.
We have updated our cancellation policy to offer a Covid Booking Guarantee and to offer you as much flexibility as possible (March 2021).
If you are not sure about our policies or how they apply to your bookings, please do contact us and we will do our best to try to answer your queries:
PRIOR TO ARRIVING
Up to 72 hours before you arrive, you will be asked to complete the standard Covid 19 list of questions as advised by the government.
If you answer yes to any of these questions, we reserve the right to refuse your attendance to our activities. You will be offered the opportunity to rebook after 14 days. Provided you are then able to answer no to these questions, you will be permitted to attend, subject to successfully completing the temperature check on arrival.
NHS TEST AND TRACE
When you book with us, your name and contact details will be kept on our online database for 21 days after you attend our events, in line with Government recommendations for Test and Trace. We may be asked to share this information with NHS Test and Trace if someone who has been on our premises tests positive for coronavirus. This will allow the NHS Test and Trace team contact anyone who may have been in the venue at the same time to ask them to get tested.
If you are arriving by car, please maintain a 2 meter distance between cars and avoid crowding around other attendees when walking to the woodland.
A steward in a high visibility jacket will meet you at the edge of the car park. You will be required to undergo a digital temperature check at this point and scan our QR code.
Should you not be willing to undergo the temperature check, in the interest of the safety of our other guests and our own team, we will have no choice but to request that you leave the woodland. You will not be entitled to a refund in these circumstances.
If your temperature is showing as high (37.8oC or above) we will carry out two further readings. If they are on average high (37.8oC or above), we will request that you leave the woodland. We will offer a refund of your ticket or the option to transfer to an alternative date.
After we have completed the temperature checks, we will walk you across the road to our woodland arrival area.
We follow government guidelines on a safe working environment, in our cooking and activity areas, our general woodland environment and our toilet areas.
Our policies include as standard hygiene practices for hand sanitising, social distancing, temperature checks, face masks, Disease Prevention measures and the provision of appropriate PPE equipment.
We check-in regularly with our team, to ensure they are healthy and confident with the new measures in place.
All team members will be wearing a face covering throughout all food preparation and the serving of food and if in close contact with our guests for whatever reason.
AT OUR VENUE
We practice a safe working and with our woodland venue it is easier to maintain and respect social distancing.
We have added additional procedures to help keep you, your children and our team safe, as adapted based on the current understanding of Covid 19 and government guidelines.
We work following the government's recommended advice for outdoor gatherings. The infection control procedures required by government guidelines are:
*minimising contact with individuals who are unwell by ensuring that those who have coronavirus symptoms, or who have someone in their household who does, do not attend our woodland and activities
*cleaning hands more often than usual – wash hands thoroughly for 20 seconds with running water and soap and dry them thoroughly or use alcohol hand rub or sanitiser ensuring that all parts of the hands are covered
*ensuring good respiratory hygiene – promote the ‘catch it, bin it, kill it’ approach
*cleaning frequently touched surfaces often using standard products, such as detergents and bleach
*minimising contact and mixing by altering, as much as possible, the environment (such as dining and activity layout).
The following procedures have been designed to follow government guidelines insofar as they are applicable in an outdoor environment, and to do our best to keep everyone as safe as possible while running an enjoyable day outdoors.
The procedures cannot cover every eventuality and cannot remove all risk.
We use our judgement to apply the government’s 5 principles above, which will help to minimise risk.
HOW MANY CAN WE BOOK?
As per the government guidelines above, we are currently restricting our numbers to 18 people.
Bookings are available for up to 18 people.
As per current government guidelines:
- groups of up to 6 people, in three separated groups.
- members from the same households or two households or support bubbles.
- members from other households must maintain social distancing wherever possible.
