About the Event

The mind is a powerful machine!  When our machine goes off beam, we suffer.  Using techniques "clinically proven to halve the risk of depression" these sessions provide a simple yet effective roadmap to reinvigorate, calm and train our mind.

With the constant demands of modern lifestyles, we often forget that our brains need down time as well as our bodies.  When we are stressed we don't realise that our breathing also becomes irregular and at times this will inadvertently feed an increase in anxiety and panic.

From her own experience, Victoria will explain this incredible practice has helped her and guide you through the practice of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).

This is recommended as a 10-week course to gain the maximum benefits of following the weekly progressive exercises. However, you are welcome to join at any stage.

In just a few minutes a day you will reap the benefits by incorporating this practice into daily life.

Benefits:

Symptoms of tension headaches, washing machine thoughts going around and around, a racing mind never able to stop, exhaustion, difficulty concentrating, focusing or sleeping are all signs that our brains need a break.  The practice is also ideal for those who struggle to keep up with the relentless demands of the modern world.

Mindfulness practice relieves feelings of stress, anxiety, depression, low moods, unhappiness and exhaustion whilst promoting well-being. Its proven effectiveness means that MBCT is recommended by the UK’s National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence.

Session:  40 minutes

Ideal to incorporate alongside yoga practice.
